About Us

Our Story

Since early years of life, Ms. Bhakti was fascinated with sarees and handicrafts. As a young adult, whenever she travelled for her archaeological adventures to different regions of the country, she made it a point to collect handicraft items. Her collection includes Kashmiri silver jhumkas inspired by the chinar leaves, stoles made in Banarasi silk, a Sambalpuri saree from Odisha, a Kerala Kasavu - among many other souvenirs.

While she has collected a number of handicrafts, it is the wide variety of handlooms that our country has to offer that has captivated her thoughts the most. House of VIJAYA is a homage to this rich heritage of textiles India has to offer.

While our collection consists of handlooms, it also includes products from powerlooms. This is because Ms. Bhakti believes that sarees should be accessible to all. Hence, as a way of ensuring affordability, our collections are a combination of handloom & powerloom sarees.
